In-store selling, on the store you already run

A sales counter that runs on your own storefront

Easy POS puts a till on a page of your Shopify store. A staff member signs in with a PIN, builds a cart from your own catalogue, takes the cash and hands over the change — and Shopify gets a real order, taxed, paid and fulfilled.

  • Runs in a browser at yourstore.com/apps/easypos
  • No terminal to buy and nothing to install on the device
  • Every sale lands in Shopify as a paid, fulfilled order

Easy POS is not on the Shopify App Store yet and has no published price — this page describes the app as it is built today.

The problem

Selling in person should not need a second platform

A market stall, a pickup desk or a studio shelf is a handful of sales a day. The tooling for it usually costs more than the sales do.

A card terminal and its own plan, for a table at a weekend market.

A browser page on the storefront you already pay for, on whatever device is to hand.

Counter sales written on paper and typed into the admin that evening.

The order is created in Shopify at the moment the sale is taken.

Handing a weekend cashier the login to your whole Shopify admin.

Each staff member gets their own PIN. It opens the till and nothing else.

Working out tax on an in-person sale in your head, and getting it wrong.

Shopify calculates the tax from your store's own settings before the total is shown.

Features

What the counter can do

Small on purpose. Everything listed here is in the app as it ships today.

PIN sign-in for staff

Adding a staff member generates a 4–6 digit PIN, unique within your store. That PIN is the whole credential at the counter — nobody needs a Shopify account, and you can deactivate someone without deleting their sales history.

Your catalogue, as customers see it

Browse by collection or search the storefront the way a shopper would. Titles, images, variants and prices are the ones your storefront is already publishing, so the till can never show a stale price.

Tax calculated by Shopify

Totals are worked out through Shopify before payment, using your store's own tax settings. The amount the cashier collects is the amount that ends up on the order.

Cash, with the change worked out

Type what the customer handed over and the screen shows the change due. Cash is the payment method the app ships with.

Paid and fulfilled on the spot

Each sale becomes a Shopify order, completed as paid and fulfilled as an in-store pickup, so inventory, reporting and the customer's order history all agree with what happened at the counter.

Styled to match the shop

Colours, corner radius, font, shadows, button shape and your logo, with a live preview of the sign-in, sales and checkout screens. The theme app extension exposes the same look to the theme editor.

How it works

One sale, start to finish

Set the counter up

Name the till, choose which collections it shows, hide the empty ones, and add the people who will use it. All of it lives in the embedded Shopify admin.

Open it on your storefront

The POS is a page on your own domain, at /apps/easypos. A phone, a tablet or a laptop with a browser is the entire hardware requirement.

Sign in and ring it up

The cashier enters their PIN, adds products from the collection grid or the search box, and takes the cash the screen asks for.

Read the day back

Analytics shows the day's orders, revenue and active staff, with recent activity filterable by the staff member who took the sale.

Use cases

Where merchants put it

Pop-ups and markets

A tablet on the table, pointed at your own store URL. Nothing to install on the device, and nothing left behind on it afterwards.

Order pickup desks

The station where customers collect what they bought online — and buy the one extra thing they noticed on the way in.

Showrooms and studios

Sell the item off the shelf without walking to a back-office computer to raise the order.

A second till at busy times

Open the page on another device. Each cashier has their own PIN and their own line in the day's numbers.

FAQ

Questions merchants ask

Do I need Shopify POS, a card reader or any other hardware?

No. Easy POS is a page on your own storefront at /apps/easypos, so anything with a browser can run it — a phone, a tablet, the laptop already on the desk. There is no terminal to buy and no separate app to install on the device.

How do customers pay?

In cash, at the counter. The cashier enters the amount handed over and the screen shows the change due. Card and wallet payments are not part of the app today.

Is the sale a real Shopify order?

Yes. Easy POS creates the order through Shopify, completes it as paid, and fulfils it as an in-store pickup. It appears in your Orders list like any other order, and inventory moves with it.

How is tax worked out?

By Shopify, from your store's own tax settings. The totals are calculated before payment is taken, so the figure the cashier collects and the figure on the order are the same number.

How do staff sign in, and what can they see?

With a 4–6 digit PIN that is generated when you add them and is unique within your store. They see the till and nothing else — no Shopify admin, no settings — and you can deactivate a PIN at any time. Adding staff members is the one thing in the app that checks the shop's plan.

Can I choose which products appear?

Yes. Pick the collections the till should show and it will show only those; leave the picker empty to show everything. There is also a switch to hide collections that currently have no products in them.

What does Easy POS cost?

There is no published price. Shopify's managed pricing lives on an app's App Store listing, and Easy POS does not have a listing yet, so there is no plan to subscribe to and nothing to charge. Prices will appear here when the listing does — this page will not quote a number the app cannot bill.

Is Easy POS on the Shopify App Store?

Not yet. It is built and running, and this page describes what it does today. Until the listing goes live, the App Store links here point at XCO Agency's publisher page rather than at a listing that does not exist.
